Martina Kovacs
Sterntaler was established by Martina in 2002.
Martina is an accredited EFA level 1 Coach and is currently training
to become a level 2 Coach. She has competed extensively in EA
Eventing up to and including 3* 3DE all over Australia, as well as in Dressage and Showjumping competitions .
Martina currently competes in all 3 Olympic disciplines with several young Warmbloods and Thoroughbreds, and also with our handsome, black Warmblood stallion 'Sterntaler Rendezvous'.

Martina's aim is to create harmony between horse and rider through improving the rider's skill and feel, as well as developing their balance and confidence. It is impotent to her that horse and rider enjoy the work equally and develop a partnership.
Martina is experienced in recognizing what is important in order for riders to overcome fear and feel safe with horses, and promotes confidence in the horses that she trains.
Martina is passionate about horses and about her role as an instructor and coach. She loves and values all aspects of working with horses, whether it be as a competitive rider or simply teaching a young horse to lead and lunge.

Martina takes 'Team Sterntaler' out to competitions and has taught many riders from the beginner stage through to becoming successful competition riders.

Madelyn Louat

Maddy has been riding at Sterntaler for 5 years and started working at Sterntaler 4 years ago. She started to become interested in teaching around a year ago.
She absolutely loves working with horses because she feels that each has their own personality with many stories to tell.
In March 2020, Maddy started University at Wagga Wagga studying for a Bachelor of Equine Science. She loves maths and science and to do this in a field/industry that she is passionate about is a dream come true for her. Even though she is not sure where she will go after Uni she believe everything happens for a reason and is happy to wait and see.
Maddy is currently working towards her Introductory Coaching Certificate.
One of the things she loves about teaching is to watching everyone grow into more accomplished riders and she enjoys seeing students experience those "light bulb" moments.
All the children love Maddy for patiently explaining all the ins and out of horse handling and giving them little jobs to do in between rides.
