Promoting harmony between horse and rider
Our Novice and competition teams are open to all riders who have a minimum of
1 lesson at Sterntaler every month and like to represent Sterntaler at both internal
and external competitions.
Everyone is welcome to join, however all Team Sterntaler members are required
to comply with the Sterntaler spirit. The spirit is described as follows:

Riders must be willing to continuously work towards improving their riding skills and their horse's education

Riders must be willing to help, encourage and be friendly towards team members and all up-and-coming riders at Sterntaler

Wear the Sterntaler shirt and saddle cloth patches at competitions, where competition rules allow
-
To behave and operate in a safe, calm, responsible manner at all times
-
Present both their horses and themselves well in competitions. Keep their equipment neat, tidy and in good condition at all times
-
Be polite and respectful to competition officials, organizers, volunteers, parents and team members, as well as all other competitors
-
Team members must recognize that the horse's welfare is paramount. Any form of abuse will not be accepted
-
Abide by the rules set out by the EFA and the event ground for each competition
To make it even more exciting, all Team members are automatically registered
for the point score competition. Points will be awarded from 1st January to 31st December each year the riders
with the highest point scores will receive great prizes at the end of the year.
Points are to be awarded as follows:
For Sterntaler Dressage and Showjumping competitions, and for EFA Dressage, Showjumping
and Jump Club competitions;

1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
.to
10thplace = 1 point
EFA One Day Events
1st place = 15 points
2nd place = 14 points
to
15th place=1 point
Sterntaler Ribbondays
Points are awarded depending of number of riders in each class. e.g. 6 Riders
:1st place =6 points
2nd place= 5 points and so on.
Points are awarded seperatly for each class
Extra points will also be awarded as follows:
3 points for competing at any of the above events, regardless of placing

2 points for a lesson at Sterntaler
2 points for each day of a Sterntaler clinic
2 points for a lesson with Ron Paterson
2 points for a lesson with Jamie Coman
5 points for competing in official classes at EFA competitions
4 points for a full day
2 points for a half day
To receive competition points Sterntaler patches must be worn at competitions.

Junior team members are invited to join monthly meetings to improve horsemanship
skills and to learn about competitions, requirements and skills. Watch News and Events for dates.

Team members are required to submit competition results and own record of lessons
at the end of each month.
